Instructions:

Cut the 2×4 boards to length for the legs, aprons, and stretcher.
Assemble the leg sets by attaching the aprons with wood glue and nails or screws.
Attach the stretcher to the bottom of the leg sets.
Cut the plywood to size for the tabletop.
Attach the tabletop to the leg sets with wood glue and nails or screws.
Sand the table smooth.
Stain or paint the table.
Apply polyurethane to protect the finish.

Tips:

Make sure the leg sets are square before attaching the tabletop.
Use a level to make sure the tabletop is even.
Pre-drill the pilot holes for the nails or screws to prevent splitting the wood.
Apply multiple thin coats of polyurethane for the best results.
