Glinda the Good Witch Costume DIY:

Materials:

• Pink dress (or white dress that you can dye pink)
• Pink tulle (for tutu)
• Elastic (for tutu)
• Silver glitter cardstock (for stars)
• Rhinestones (optional)
• E-6000 adhesive
• Wand (optional)
• Crown (optional)

Instructions:

1. Make the tutu: Cut a length of elastic twice as long as you’d like the tutu to be. Use this piece as a guide to cut the rest of your tulle. Fold each piece of tulle in half and loop it around the elastic from the front. Pull the rest of the tulle through the loop. Tie all of the tulle pieces to the elastic in the same direction. Keep adding tulle until the tutu is as full as you’d like.
2. Decorate the tutu: Cut out various sizes of stars from silver glitter cardstock. Glue the stars around the bottom of 1/3 of the tutu using E-6000 adhesive. You can also add rhinestones or other embellishments to the tutu.
3. Finish the costume: Put on the dress and tutu. Add a wand and crown (optional).

Tips:

• If you don’t have a pink dress, you can dye a white dress pink. Use a fabric dye that is specifically for polyester or cotton, depending on the type of fabric your dress is made of.
• To make the tutu even fuller, you can use two or three layers of tulle.
• If you don’t have E-6000 adhesive, you can use a hot glue gun. However, be careful not to burn yourself.
• To make the costume more comfortable, you can wear a pair of leggings or tights under the dress.
