Here are some specific ideas for simple DIYs for teens:
Sharpie tie-dye tee: Place a plain white tee on top of a Mason jar and secure it in place with a rubber band. Put different colored dots made from Sharpie markers all over the tee, making sure not to let the dots touch. Once you’re done, grab a Q-tip, dip it in alcohol, and repeatedly dab the Q-tip on the dots you’ve just made. This will create a tie-dye effect. Let the tee dry completely before removing the rubber band.
Pom-pom keychain: Make a pom-pom using yarn in your favorite colors. Once the pom-pom is made, attach a key ring to it. You can also add a bead or other embellishment to the keychain.
DIY phone case: Buy a plain plastic phone case and decorate it with paint, markers, stickers, or other materials. You can also use decoupage to attach pieces of fabric or paper to the case.
Rock photo holders: Paint a few rocks with your favorite colors and designs. Once the rocks are dry, glue them to small wooden blocks. You can then use the rocks to hold photos or other small objects.
DIY friendship bracelets: There are many different ways to make friendship bracelets. You can use beads, embroidery floss, or other materials. There are also many different patterns you can follow.
