Easy DIY Cat Tree
Materials:
- Plywood for platforms
- PVC pipe or 2x4s for vertical supports
- Carpet or sisal rope for scratching surfaces
- Wood glue and screws
- Tools: saw, drill, screwdriver, staple gun
Instructions:
- Cut the plywood to size for the platforms.
- Cut the PVC pipe or 2x4s to length for the vertical supports.
- Attach the vertical supports to the base platform using wood glue and screws.
- Attach the remaining platforms to the vertical supports at desired heights.
- Wrap the carpet or sisal rope around the vertical supports, securing it with staples or glue.
- Add any other desired features, such as a cat condo, scratching post, or toys.
Tips:
- Make sure the base platform is large and sturdy enough to support the weight of the cat tree.
- If using PVC pipe, use a larger diameter pipe for the base support.
- If using 2x4s, screw them together to create a square post.
- Space the platforms far enough apart so that your cat can easily climb between them.
- Use a variety of scratching surfaces to keep your cat entertained.
- Place the cat tree in a location where your cat can see it and access it easily.
