To build a simple DIY vocal booth, you will need a few materials:
- PVC pipes and fittings
- Moving blankets
- Acoustic foam (optional)
- Utility knife
- Spray adhesive (optional)
Instructions:
- Build a PVC frame in the shape of a cube or rectangle, large enough to fit you and your microphone stand inside.
- Drape the moving blankets over the PVC frame, securing them in place with clamps or bungee cords.
- If desired, cut the acoustic foam to fit the inside of the vocal booth and attach it to the walls using spray adhesive.
- Place the vocal booth in a quiet room and close the door.
Your DIY vocal booth is now complete! To use it, simply stand inside and record your vocals. The moving blankets and acoustic foam will help to absorb sound reflections, resulting in cleaner, more professional recordings.
