To build a DIY shower stall, you will need:
- Shower base
- Cement board
- Shower enclosure
- Shower faucet and showerhead
- Plumbing supplies
- Tools (drill, saw, level, etc.)
Instructions:
- Prepare the space by installing a drainpipe with a trap in the center of the shower base.
- Build 2×4 walls for the sides of the shower stall.
- Install horizontal braces to support the shower faucet and showerhead arm.

- Make sure that the shower base is level before you start building the walls.
- Use a waterproof membrane to protect the cement board from moisture.
- Seal all of the joints between the cement board and the shower enclosure with silicone caulk.
- Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for installing the shower faucet and showerhead.
Once the shower stall is complete, you can tile it or paint it to match your bathroom décor.
