To make a DIY plyo box, you will need:
- A sheet of 3/4" plywood
- Wood glue
- 2" wood screws
- A drill
- A saw
- (Optional) A jigsaw and a hole saw for adding handles
Once you have gathered your materials, follow these steps:
- Cut the plywood into the following pieces:
- Two sides: 24" x 20"
- Two ends: 28" x 20"
- One top: 28" x 24"
- Two handles: 6" x 2" (optional)
- Apply wood glue to the edges of the sides and ends, and then screw them together to form a box.
- Attach the top to the box using wood glue and screws.
- (Optional) Drill holes in the sides of the box for the handles, and then attach the handles using screws.
- Sand down any rough edges, and then finish the box with paint or stain (optional).
Once your plyo box is complete, you can start using it for a variety of exercises, such as box jumps, step-ups, and box squats.
