DIY Pennant Banner

Materials:

• Fabric or felt
• Scissors
• Twine or ribbon
• Hot glue gun (optional)

Instructions:

1. Cut out pennant shapes from your fabric or felt. You can use a template or freehand them.
2. If using fabric, fold the top edge of each pennant over about 1/2 inch and press.
3. Apply a line of hot glue to the folded edge of each pennant and press down again. This is optional, but it will help to keep the pennants from fraying.
4. String the pennants onto the twine or ribbon, spacing them evenly.
5. Tie the ends of the twine or ribbon together to create a loop.
6. Hang your banner up and enjoy!

Tips:

• For a more festive look, use different colors and patterns of fabric or felt.
• You can also add embellishments to your banner, such as paint, glitter, or sequins.
• If you’re using a hot glue gun, be careful not to burn yourself.
• If you’re making a banner for a special occasion, such as a birthday party or holiday, you can personalize it by adding words or letters.

Variations:

• No-sew pennant banner: If you don’t have a sewing machine, you can make a pennant banner without sewing. Simply use fabric glue to attach the pennants to the twine or ribbon.
• Double-sided pennant banner: If you want your banner to be double-sided, cut out two pennant shapes for each pennant. Then, glue the two shapes together, back-to-back.
• Felt pennant banner: Felt is a great material for making pennant banners because it doesn’t fray. To make a felt pennant banner, simply cut out pennant shapes from felt and string them onto twine or ribbon.
