Diy Oil Lamp

To make a DIY oil lamp, you will need:

• A jar with a lid
• A wick (cotton rope or twine)
• Oil (lamp oil, olive oil, or vegetable oil)

Instructions:

1. Punch a hole in the center of the jar lid.
2. Thread the wick through the hole in the lid, leaving about 1 inch of wick hanging outside of the jar.
3. Fill the jar about 1/4 to 1/3 full of oil.
4. Place the lid on the jar and adjust the wick so that it is centered in the oil.
5. Light the wick and enjoy your DIY oil lamp!

Tips:

• Use a wick that is thick enough to support the flame, but not so thick that it smothers it.
• If you are using olive oil or vegetable oil, you may need to add a little bit of water to the bottom of the jar to prevent the oil from smoking.
• Be careful not to overfill the jar with oil, or the flame may become too large and dangerous.
• To extinguish the flame, simply place the lid on the jar.
