Diy Lip Balm

To make DIY lip balm, you will need:

• Beeswax (or soy wax or candelilla wax for a vegan option)
• Cocoa butter (or shea butter)
• Oil (such as sweet almond oil, olive oil, jojoba oil, or fractionated coconut oil)
• Essential oil (optional, for flavor and scent)

Instructions:

1. Melt the beeswax, cocoa butter, and oil in a double boiler or in a microwave-safe container in short bursts, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
2. Remove from heat and stir in the essential oil, if using.
3. Pour the mixture into lip balm tubes or tins and let cool and solidify.

Tips:

• For a softer lip balm, use more oil. For a harder lip balm, use more beeswax.
• You can use any flavor of essential oil you like. Some popular choices include peppermint, lavender, and vanilla.
• If you don’t have essential oils, you can also flavor your lip balm with honey or cocoa powder.
• To color your lip balm, add a small amount of food coloring or mica powder to the melted mixture.
• Store your homemade lip balm in a cool, dry place. It will last for up to 6 months.
