A DIY Kydex press is a simple tool that can be used to mold Kydex sheets into sheaths for knives, axes, and other tools. It is typically made from two pieces of wood, a hinge, and a piece of foam. The Kydex sheet is sandwiched between the two pieces of wood and the hinge is used to hold them together. The foam is used to apply pressure to the Kydex sheet, which forces it to take the shape of the mold.

To make a DIY Kydex press, you will need the following materials:

• Two pieces of wood, each approximately 12 inches by 12 inches and 1 inch thick
• A hinge
• A piece of foam, at least 12 inches by 12 inches and 1 inch thick
• Screws

Instructions:

1. Cut the wood to size and sand the edges smooth.
2. Attach the hinge to one of the pieces of wood.
3. Place the foam on the other piece of wood.
4. Place the Kydex sheet on top of the foam.
5. Place the hinged piece of wood on top of the Kydex sheet.
6. Close the press and use clamps to hold it together.
7. Heat the Kydex sheet with a heat gun or oven until it is pliable.
8. Once the Kydex sheet is pliable, remove the clamps and press the two pieces of wood together.
9. Hold the press together for several seconds until the Kydex sheet has cooled and hardened.
10. Once the Kydex sheet has hardened, remove it from the press.
