A DIY iPad stand is a great way to save money and get a custom stand that perfectly fits your needs. There are many different ways to make a DIY iPad stand, but some of the simplest methods include:

• Using a cutting board: Take a wooden cutting board and position it vertically. Glue two small door stops to the back of the board to hold it in place. Glue a Scrabble letter rack or other thin piece of wood to the bottom edge of the cutting board to form a shelf for the iPad.
• Using pencils: Tie six pencils together with rubber bands to form a tripod. Aim to create a small pyramid out of the sharpened pencils. Form a base triangle by banding the ends of three pencils together. Next, stick one pencil into each of these bands, angling them toward one another to form a pyramid. Secure these last three pencils into place with a rubber band. Make sure that the eraser end of one pencil is physically propping up the iPad.
• Using wood: Cut two pieces of wood to the desired size and shape for your iPad stand. Connect the two pieces of wood with a hinge. Add a stopper to the top board to prevent the iPad from sliding off. Sand and stain or paint the stand to your liking.
