
To make DIY ice cream, you will need milk, cream, sugar, and flavorings (optional). You can use an ice cream maker or make it without one. If you are using an ice cream maker, simply combine all of the ingredients in the machine and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions. If you are making ice cream without an ice cream maker, combine all of the ingredients in a bowl and whisk until smooth. Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until solid. Every 30 minutes or so, remove the container from the freezer and whisk vigorously to break up any ice crystals. Once the ice cream is frozen, serve immediately or store in the freezer for later.
