Materials:

• 4×4 lumber (cut to length based on your desired stand size)
• 2×4 lumber (cut to length based on your desired stand size)
• Eye bolts
• Lag screws
• Concrete mix
• Sand
• Gravel
• Drill
• Saw
• Level
• Measuring tape
• Safety glasses

Instructions:

1. Start by cutting all of your lumber to length.
2. Next, assemble the base of the stand. This can be done by using half-lap cuts or by simply connecting the boards with lag screws.
3. Once the base is assembled, attach the uprights. The uprights should be angled slightly outward, so that the top of the stand is wider than the bottom.
4. Next, add the braces. The braces will help to stabilize the stand and prevent it from swaying.
5. Once all of the pieces are assembled, drill pilot holes and attach the eye bolts to the top of the uprights.
6. To install the stand, dig four holes in the ground, one for each corner of the stand. The holes should be deep enough to support the height of the stand.
7. Fill the holes with concrete mix and set the stand in place. Use a level to make sure that the stand is level.
8. Allow the concrete to dry completely before attaching your hammock to the eye bolts.
