DIY Glass Whiteboard
Materials:
- Piece of tempered glass (cut to size)
- Whiteboard paint or spray paint
- Painter’s tape
- Drill
- Wall anchors
- Screws
- Mirror mounting hardware
Instructions:
- Clean the glass thoroughly with a glass cleaner.
- Apply painter’s tape to the edges of the glass to protect them from paint.
- Spray paint or paint the back of the glass with whiteboard paint. Allow to dry completely.
- Remove the painter’s tape.
- Mark the location of the wall anchors on the wall.
- Drill pilot holes at the marked locations.
- Insert the wall anchors into the holes.
- Screw the mirror mounting hardware into the wall anchors.
- Rest the glass on the mirror mounting hardware and secure it in place.
Tips:
- Use tempered glass for safety. Regular glass can break into dangerous pieces if it is dropped or hit.
- Apply the whiteboard paint in thin, even coats.
- Allow the whiteboard paint to dry completely before using the board.
- If you are using spray paint, be sure to work in a well-ventilated area.
