DIY fake nails are a fun and affordable way to get salon-quality nails at home. There are many different ways to make DIY fake nails, but some of the most popular methods include using clear tape, paper, or plastic.

Paper fake nails:

  1. Cut out 10 small pieces of paper that are slightly larger than your natural nails.
  2. Apply a thin layer of nail glue to the back of each paper nail.
  3. Press the paper nails onto your natural nails, starting at the cuticle and working your way down.
  4. Hold each nail in place for a few seconds to allow the glue to dry.
  5. Once the glue is dry, trim and shape the paper nails to your desired length and shape.
  6. Paint your nails with your favorite nail polish and top coat.

Clear tape fake nails:

  1. Cut out 10 pieces of clear tape that are slightly larger than your natural nails.
  2. Fold each piece of tape in half lengthwise.
  3. Apply a thin layer of nail glue to the inside of each piece of tape.
  4. Wrap the tape around your natural nails, starting at the cuticle and working your way down.
  5. Cut off any excess tape and trim and shape the nails to your desired length and shape.
  6. Paint your nails with your favorite nail polish and top coat.

Plastic fake nails:

  1. Purchase a set of pre-made plastic fake nails.
  2. File your natural nails to remove any shine.
  3. Apply a thin layer of nail glue to the back of each plastic nail.
  4. Press the plastic nails onto your natural nails, starting at the cuticle and working your way down.
  5. Hold each nail in place for a few seconds to allow the glue to dry.
  6. Trim and shape the plastic nails to your desired length and shape.
  7. Paint your nails with your favorite nail polish and top coat.

Once you have applied your DIY fake nails, you can enjoy them for up to two weeks. To remove your fake nails, simply soak them in warm, soapy water for a few minutes. The nails should then pop off easily.
