To make a DIY embroidery hoop, you will need:
- A plastic take-away container
- A sharp knife
- Fabric scissors
- Embroidery fabric
Instructions:
- Cut the take-away container into two pieces, using the knife to cut off the lid and the bottom.
- Use the fabric scissors to cut a piece of embroidery fabric slightly larger than the opening of the take-away container bottom.
- Place the fabric face-up over the bottom of the container and center it.
- Place the lid of the container over the fabric and press down firmly until the two pieces snap together.
Your DIY embroidery hoop is now ready to use! Place your fabric in the hoop and tighten the screw until the fabric is taut. You can then begin embroidering your design.
When you are finished embroidering, loosen the screw and remove the fabric from the hoop. You can now trim the excess fabric around the edges of your design.
To clean your DIY embroidery hoop, simply wipe it down with a damp cloth.
