Diy Dog Collar

To make a DIY dog collar, you will need:

• Nylon webbing strap
• Buckle
• Tri-glide
• D-ring
• Cotton fabric of your choice

Instructions:

1. Cut the nylon webbing strap to length. Double the length of your dog’s collar plus a few inches for the buckle and hardware.
2. Burn the ends of the strap to prevent fraying.
3. Cut your fabric about 3.75 inches wide and long enough to cover the length of the strap.
4. On one end of the fabric, press a 1-inch fold.
5. Sew a basting stitch as a guide 2 inches from this pressed hem. Flip the fabric over and press along the basting stitch towards the fold.
6. Remove the basting stitch.
7. Place the nylon webbing strap in the center of the fabric, with the right side of the fabric facing up.
8. Fold the fabric over the strap and sew along the edges, leaving a small gap at the end.
9. Turn the collar right side out and use a bodkin to push the fabric through the gap.
10. Sew the gap closed.
11. Attach the buckle and hardware to the collar, following the instructions that come with your hardware.
