To make a simple DIY cat window perch, you will need:
- A piece of sturdy wood or plywood
- Saw
- Drill
- Eye hooks
- S-hooks
- Plumbers’ safety chain
- Cushion (optional)
Instructions:
- Cut the wood or plywood to the desired size and shape of your window perch.
- Drill holes in the corners of the wood for the eye hooks.
- Screw the eye hooks into the wood.
- Drill holes in the window jambs at the same height as the eye hooks on the wood.
- Attach the plumbers’ safety chain to the eye hooks on the wood and the window jambs.
- Hang the window perch from the window jambs and secure the safety chain.
- Add a cushion to the window perch, if desired.
