Diy Bunny Cage

DIY bunny cage:

Materials:

• Wire mesh with 1/2-inch spacing or less
• Wood for the frame and floor
• Hinges and latches for the doors
• Hardware cloth for the bottom of the cage (optional)
• Waterproof sealant
• Tools: saw, drill, screwdriver, staple gun

Instructions:

1. Cut the wood to size for the frame and floor of the cage.
2. Assemble the frame using screws or nails.
3. Attach the wire mesh to the frame using staples.
4. Cut a hole in the wire mesh for the door.
5. Attach the door to the frame using hinges and latches.
6. If desired, attach hardware cloth to the bottom of the cage to prevent your rabbit from digging.
7. Apply a waterproof sealant to the wood to protect it from moisture.

Tips:

• Make sure the cage is big enough for your rabbit to move around comfortably. A good rule of thumb is to make the cage at least four times longer than your rabbit’s body.
• Provide your rabbit with a hiding place, such as a cardboard box or a house made of hay.
• Include a variety of toys in the cage to keep your rabbit entertained.
• Clean the cage regularly to prevent the buildup of bacteria and odors.

Safety:

• Make sure the wire mesh is secure and that there are no sharp edges that could injure your rabbit.
• Place the cage in a safe location away from drafts and direct sunlight.
• Keep the cage clean and free of debris.
• Monitor your rabbit closely when it is outside of the cage.
