Diy Bike Rack

DIY bike racks are a great way to save money and get a custom rack that perfectly fits your needs. There are many different designs available, but most DIY bike racks are made from wood or metal.

To make a simple DIY bike rack, you will need a few basic tools and materials, including:

Materials:

• (2) 2×4 x 8′ pressure-treated lumber
• (6) 10d 3" galvanized nails or 3" exterior screws
• Drill and bits
• Hammer
• Tape measure
• Speed square
• Paint (optional)

Instructions:

1. Cut the 2x4s into the following lengths:
   • (2) 2×4 x 8′
   • (2) 2×4 x 30"
   • (2) 2×4 x 27"
2. Assemble the rack as follows:
   • Place the two 8′ 2x4s on the ground parallel to each other, spaced about 18" apart.
   • Attach the two 30" 2x4s to the top of the 8′ 2x4s using nails or screws.
   • Attach the two 27" 2x4s to the bottom of the 8′ 2x4s using nails or screws.
3. Attach the rack to the wall or floor using hardware.
4. Paint the rack (optional).

Once your DIY bike rack is complete, you can start storing your bikes!
