Diy Backyard Putting Green

To build a DIY backyard putting green, you will need:

• Synthetic turf for putting green and fringe
• 1/4" to 3/4" crushed gravel or limestone
• 50/100 silica sand infill
• 6-inch regulation golf cups
• Landscape staples or nails
• Seaming tape
• Artificial turf adhesive
• Notched trowel
• Gardening tools (shovel, rake, hammer, measuring tape, spirit level, etc.)

Instructions:

1. Choose a location for your putting green that is level and has good drainage.
2. Outline the shape of your putting green with spray paint.
3. Remove the sod or grass from inside the outlined area.
4. Dig down 4-5 inches and fill the area with crushed gravel or limestone.
5. Compact the gravel or limestone with a plate compactor or lawn roller.
6. Place the golf cups in the desired locations.
7. Spread a layer of landscape fabric over the gravel or limestone.
8. Install the synthetic turf, starting at one edge and working your way across.
9. Secure the turf with landscape staples or nails.
10. Install a border around the putting green (optional).
11. Fill the turf with silica sand infill.
12. Brush the sand into the turf to evenly distribute it.
13. Water the putting green to settle the sand.

Once the putting green is installed, you can enjoy practicing your putting skills whenever you want!
