Copper sheets (16 or 20 oz. thickness is recommended)
Contact adhesive
Plywood or MDF substrate
Dowels

File

Instructions:

Cut the copper sheets to size using a saw.
Sand the back of the copper sheets and the top of the plywood or MDF substrate to ensure a good bond.
Apply contact adhesive to both the back of the copper sheets and the top of the substrate.
Place the copper sheets on top of the substrate and align them carefully.
Use dowels to weigh down the copper sheets until the adhesive dries.
Once the adhesive is dry, trim any excess copper from the edges of the countertop.
Apply a sealant to the copper countertop to protect it from tarnish and staining.
