Cheap DIY barn door hardware can be made from a variety of materials, including steel, wood, and PVC. One popular option is to use black steel conduit pipe as the track and clothesline pulleys as the rollers. Another option is to use flat bar steel for both the track and the rollers.

To make your own barn door hardware, you will need the following materials:

• Track: 1/2-inch black steel conduit pipe or flat bar steel
• Rollers: Clothesline pulleys or flat bar steel cut into 8-inch lengths
• Bolts and nuts: 1/4-inch carriage bolts and nuts for the rollers, 1/4-inch carriage bolts and washers for mounting the track to the wall
