Diy Washer Pedestal

To build a DIY washer pedestal, you will need:

  • 2×4 lumber
  • 1/2-inch plywood
  • Pocket hole screws
  • Kreg jig (optional)
  • Construction adhesive
  • Finish of your choice

Instructions:

  1. Measure and cut the lumber to size for the frame.
  2. Assemble the frame using pocket hole screws or nails.
  3. Cut the plywood top and bottom to size.
  4. Cut notches in the bottom piece to fit around the legs of the frame.
  5. Attach the plywood top and bottom to the frame using construction adhesive and pocket hole screws or nails.
  6. Finish the pedestal to your liking.

Once the pedestal is finished, simply place your washer on top and you’re good to go!

Tips:

  • Use a level to make sure the pedestal is level before placing your washer on top.
  • If you are using a Kreg jig, pre-drill pocket holes in all of the lumber before assembling the frame.
  • Make sure to use construction adhesive to help strengthen the pedestal.
  • You can add a drawer to your pedestal for extra storage.
  • Paint or stain the pedestal to match your laundry room décor.
