Materials:

Instructions:

Make the paper mache paste. Combine one part flour with two parts water in a bowl and stir until smooth. If desired, add a few tablespoons of salt to prevent mold growth.
Tear or cut the newspaper, comics, or magazines into strips or pieces.
Dip a strip of paper into the paste and wipe off any excess.
Apply the paper strip to your armature or work surface.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the desired thickness is reached.
Allow the paper mache to dry completely.
Once the paper mache is dry, paint it as desired.

Tips:

Use a variety of paper types to create different textures and effects.
If you are using an armature, make sure it is sturdy enough to support the weight of the paper mache.
To create a smooth surface, sand the paper mache once it is dry.
You can also use paper mache to create molds. Once the paper mache is dry, simply remove it from the mold and decorate as desired.
