- Wax
- Tinder (dryer lint, cotton balls, wood shavings, etc.)
- Container (egg carton, muffin tin, etc.)

- Melt the wax in a double boiler or in a microwave-safe container.
- Pour the melted wax into the container, filling each cup or compartment about halfway.
- Add the tinder to the wax, making sure to pack it down lightly.
- Allow the wax to cool and harden completely.
- Once the wax is hardened, cut the container into individual fire starters.
To use:
- Place a fire starter on top of your kindling.
- Light the fire starter with a match or lighter.
- Add more kindling and firewood as needed.
Tips:
- For a more durable fire starter, use a metal container instead of a cardboard one.
- You can add other flammable materials to your fire starters, such as essential oils, spices, or dried herbs.
