Diy Studio Monitor Stands

DIY studio monitor stands are a great way to save money and get the perfect stands for your studio. They are also relatively easy to make, even if you don’t have a lot of experience woodworking. There are many different ways to make DIY studio monitor stands, but the basic premise is the same: create a solid base and a column to hold the speaker.

Materials:

Instructions:

1. Choose your materials. If you are using wood, cut it to the desired dimensions for the base and column. If you are using PVC pipe, you will need two lengths of pipe that match the column height measurement, plus four closed over-pipe flanges (with screw holes).
2. Assemble the base. Attach the wood or PVC pipe together using glue and screws. If you are using wood, you may also want to use nails to reinforce the joints.
3. Attach the column to the base. Center the column on the base and attach it using glue and screws.
4. Attach the rubber or felt pads to the bottom of the stands. This will help to protect your floor and prevent the stands from slipping.
5. (Optional) Add a metal plate to the bottom of the stands for added stability.
6. (Optional) Fill the columns with filler material to help reduce resonance.
7. Place your speakers on the stands and position them for optimal listening.

Tips:

• If you are using wood, be sure to sand all of the edges before assembling the stands. This will help to prevent splinters.
• If you are using PVC pipe, use a saw to cut the pipe to the desired length. Be careful not to cut the pipe too short, as you need to leave room for the over-pipe flanges.
• When attaching the column to the base, be sure to use a level to make sure that the column is straight.
• If you are filling the columns with filler material, be sure to pack it in tightly. This will help to reduce resonance.
• Once your stands are complete, be sure to position them so that your speakers are at the correct height for optimal listening.
