To build a DIY outdoor pull-up bar, you will need:
- Two 4×6 treated lumber posts
- Two 1" galvanized floor flanges
- One 1" x 60" galvanized pipe with threads on both ends
- Eight 1/4" x 2-1/2" galvanized lag screws
- Quick-setting concrete
- Post hole digger
- Level
- Saw
- Drill
- Wrench
Instructions:
- Dig two holes, each 4-5 feet deep and 12 inches wide, spaced 4 feet apart.
- Set the posts in the holes and make sure they are level.
- Pour quick-setting concrete into the holes around the posts and let it dry completely.
- Attach the floor flanges to the tops of the posts using the lag screws.
- Thread the pipe through the flanges and tighten the nuts.
Your DIY outdoor pull-up bar is now complete!
Tips:
- For a more durable pull-up bar, use galvanized pipe and fittings.
- Make sure the posts are set deep enough into the ground so that they are sturdy.
- Level the posts carefully before pouring the concrete.
- Tighten the nuts on the pipe flanges securely.
