To make a simple DIY dog house heater, you will need a used paint can, a light fixture, a male plug adapter, Romex cable, and screws.
- Drill a hole in the center of the bottom of the paint can and a hole in the lid.
- Paint the can flat black.
- Wire the light fixture to the Romex cable.
- Run the cable through the bottom of the can and attach it to the light fixture.
- Attach the male plug adapter to the other end of the cable.
- Mount the can to the interior of the dog house, as high up as possible.
- Run the cable out of the back of the dog house and plug it in.
Your DIY dog house heater is now complete! Be sure to check the temperature inside the dog house regularly to make sure it is not too hot.
