DIY Ladder Golf

Materials:

• 4×4 lumber for uprights (48" tall)
• 2×4 lumber for base supports (36" long)
• 1" dowels for rungs (36" long)
• 6 golf balls
• Paracord or other sturdy string
• Screws, washers, and nuts
• Tools: drill, saw, screwdriver, measuring tape

Instructions:

1. Cut the 4×4 lumber into 4 pieces, each 48" long. These will be the uprights for your ladders.
2. Cut the 2×4 lumber into 8 pieces, each 36" long. These will be the base supports for your ladders.
3. Drill three holes in each base support, spaced evenly apart. These holes will be used to attach the uprights.
4. Attach the uprights to the base supports using screws, washers, and nuts.
5. Cut the dowels into 6 pieces, each 36" long. These will be the rungs for your ladders.
6. Drill a hole in the center of each dowel.
7. Thread a piece of paracord through each hole in the dowels. Tie a knot at the end of the paracord to secure the dowels in place.
8. Attach the rungs to the ladders by screwing them into the uprights.
9. To make the bolas, drill a hole in the center of each golf ball. Thread a piece of paracord through the hole in each golf ball and tie a knot at the end to secure the golf balls in place.

To play:

1. Place the two ladders facing each other, about 20-30 feet apart.
2. Each player or team gets 3 bolas.
3. Players take turns throwing their bolas at the opposing ladder.
4. If a bola wraps around a rung of the ladder, the player or team scores points: 1 point for the bottom rung, 2 points for the middle rung, and 3 points for the top rung.
5. The first player or team to reach 21 points (without going over) wins.

Tips:

• For a more challenging game, move the ladders further apart.
• You can also make the game more interesting by adding different rules, such as bonus points for hitting multiple rungs with a single bola or penalties for hitting the ground.
