Diy Flower Press

To make a DIY flower press, you will need:

• 2 pieces of wood, cut to the same size (8-12 inches square is a good size)
• 4 carriage bolts, long enough to go through the wood and have a few inches left over
• 4 wing nuts
• 4 washers
• 2 pieces of cardboard, cut to the same size as the wood
• White paper (optional)

Instructions:

1. Cut a hole in each corner of one piece of wood, just large enough for the carriage bolts to fit through.
2. Insert the carriage bolts through the holes in the wood and screw on the wing nuts and washers.
3. Place a piece of cardboard on top of the wood, then a layer of white paper (if desired).
4. Arrange your flowers on top of the paper, making sure they are not touching.
5. Place another layer of paper on top of the flowers, then another piece of cardboard.
6. Repeat steps 3-5 until you have all of your flowers pressed.
7. Place the top piece of wood on top of the stack of cardboard and flowers.
8. Screw on the wing nuts to tighten the press.
9. Place the press in a warm, dry place and let it sit for 2-4 weeks, or until the flowers are completely dry.
10. Once the flowers are dry, carefully remove them from the press.

Your pressed flowers can be used for a variety of crafts, such as scrapbooking, card making, and jewelry making.
