3. Cut two pieces of fabric for the long sides of the crib skirt. Each piece should be the length of the crib side plus the seam allowance, and the height of the crib mattress support plus the hem allowance.
4. Cut two pieces of fabric for the short sides of the crib skirt. Each piece should be the length of the crib end plus the seam allowance, and the height of the crib mattress support plus the hem allowance.
5. If you are using a sewing machine, sew the two long pieces of fabric together, right sides together, using a 1/2 inch seam allowance. Repeat with the two short pieces of fabric.
6. If you are not using a sewing machine, you can use fabric glue or fusible tape to attach the long and short pieces of fabric together.
7. Hem the top and bottom edges of the crib skirt using a 1/2 inch seam allowance.
8. If desired, sew a strip of Velcro to the top edge of the crib skirt, and another strip to the crib mattress support. This will help to keep the crib skirt in place.
