To make a DIY matte nail polish, you will need:
- Your favorite glossy nail polish
- Cornstarch, talcum powder, or baking powder
- A small bowl or mixing palette
- A toothpick
Instructions:
- Pour a small amount of nail polish into the bowl.
- Add a small amount of powder to the nail polish and stir with the toothpick until the mixture is smooth and there are no clumps.
- Apply the matte nail polish to your nails as usual.
Tips:
- Start with a small amount of powder and add more if needed. Too much powder can make your nail polish lumpy.
- Test the matte nail polish on a spare nail before applying it to all of your nails to make sure you like the color and finish.
- To make a matte topcoat, mix cornstarch or talcum powder with clear nail polish. You can use this topcoat over any manicure to make it matte.
