To make a DIY top hat, you will need:
- Sturdy cardboard
- Fabric
- Glue gun
- Scissors
- Ribbon (optional)
Instructions:
- Cut out two large circles of cardboard for the brim.
- Cut out a smaller circle of cardboard for the top of the hat.
- Cut out two rectangles of cardboard for the sides of the hat.
- Glue the two large circles together, overlapping the edges slightly.
- Glue the sides of the hat to the brim, forming a cylinder.
- Glue the top of the hat to the cylinder.
- Trim any excess fabric or cardboard.
- Glue a ribbon around the base of the hat (optional).
- Enjoy your new top hat!
Tips:
- Use a sturdy cardboard for the brim and top of the hat, so that it will hold its shape.
- Make sure that the cylinder is snugly fitted to the brim, so that the hat doesn’t fall off your head.
- You can decorate your top hat with any fabric or embellishments you like.
- If you want to make a larger or smaller top hat, simply adjust the size of the cardboard circles and rectangles.
