Diy Bed Skirt

DIY bed skirt is a fun and easy project that can add a touch of personality to your bedroom. It is also a great way to hide storage boxes or other items under your bed.

To make a DIY bed skirt, you will need:

• Fabric (enough to cover the sides and end of your bed, plus extra for seams)
• Sewing machine (optional)
• Thread
• Scissors
• Measuring tape

Instructions:

1. Measure the length and width of your bed, as well as the drop from the bottom of the mattress to the floor.
2. Cut your fabric into three pieces: one for the end of the bed and two for the sides. Add 6 inches to each panel’s length for seams.
3. Iron the fabric so that the seams are straight.
4. Sew the side panels together along the long edge, using a 1/2 inch seam allowance.
5. Sew the end panel to the side panels, overlapping the seams by 1/2 inch.
6. Hem the bottom of the bed skirt using a 1/2 inch seam allowance.
7. Pin the bed skirt to the bottom of the box spring, overlapping the side panels at the corners.
8. Sew or staple the bed skirt to the box spring, or use bedskirt clips to attach it.

Tips:

• If you don’t have a sewing machine, you can use fabric glue or iron-on hem tape to assemble the bed skirt.
• For a more finished look, you can add a decorative trim to the bottom of the bed skirt.
• If you have a bed frame with slats, you can cut a hole in the bed skirt for each slat. This will help to keep the bed skirt in place.
