A DIY bear costume is a fun and easy way to dress up for Halloween or any other occasion. All you need are a few basic materials and some creativity.
To make a simple bear costume, you will need:
- Brown fabric (fleece or felt is a good choice)
- Tan fabric for the tummy and ears
- Stuffing
- Elastic bands
- A black headband
Instructions:
- Cut out a jumpsuit shape from the brown fabric, with extra fabric for seams.
- Sew the jumpsuit together, leaving the sleeves and legs open.
- Cut out two ears from the tan fabric and sew them together, leaving the bottom open.
- Stuff the ears and sew the bottom closed.
- Sew the ears to the headband.
- Cut out a belly patch from the tan fabric and sew it to the front of the jumpsuit.
- Thread elastic bands through the sleeves and legs of the jumpsuit to create cuffs.
