Diy Sailor Costume

To make a DIY sailor costume, you will need a white or striped shirt, a pair of pants or shorts, a sailor hat, and a scarf (optional).

For the shirt, you can either use a white shirt that you already have or sew two blue stripes around the cuff of a blue shirt. If you are sewing the stripes, make sure that they are about ½ inch (1.27 centimeters) thick and 1 inch (2.54 cm) apart.

For the pants or shorts, you can wear any color that you want. However, navy blue or white pants or shorts will look the most authentic.

For the sailor hat, you can either buy one or make your own. To make your own sailor hat, you will need a piece of white fabric, some cardboard, and a stapler. Cut a circle out of the fabric that is large enough to fit around your head. Then, cut a smaller circle out of the cardboard and staple it to the center of the fabric circle. Finally, roll up the edges of the fabric circle and staple them to the cardboard.

For the scarf, you can use any color or pattern that you want. However, a navy blue or white scarf will look the most authentic.

Once you have all of your pieces, simply put them on and you are ready to go!
