To make a DIY window screen, you will need the following materials:
- Window screen frame kit
- Screen material
- Spline roller
- Staple gun
- Staples
- Measuring tape
- Saw
- Utility knife
Instructions:
- Measure your window opening to determine the size of your screen frame kit.
- Cut the screen material to size, leaving about an inch of extra material on all sides.
- Assemble the screen frame kit according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Staple the screen material to the frame, stretching it tightly as you go.
- Use the spline roller to roll the spline into the groove on the frame, securing the screen material in place.
- Trim off any excess screen material.
Your DIY window screen is now complete! You can install it in your window by simply placing it in the opening and securing it with screws or nails.
