To make DIY chalkboard paint, you will need:
- Flat-finish latex paint in any color
- Unsanded tile grout
- Mixing container
- Paint stirrer
- Paint roller
Instructions:
- Pour 1 cup of paint into the mixing container.
- Add 2 tablespoons of grout to the paint.
- Stir the mixture until it is smooth and there are no clumps.
- Apply the paint to the surface you want to chalkboard with a roller.
- Let the paint dry completely.
- To condition the chalkboard, rub the side of a piece of chalk over the entire surface.
- Wipe away any residue with a barely damp sponge.
Now you have a chalkboard that you can use to write and draw on with chalk. Enjoy!
