To make a DIY canvas photo, you will need:
- A canvas
- A photo printed on glossy paper
- Mod Podge
- A foam brush
- A sponge
- Scissors
- A ruler
- Optional: Acrylic paint
Instructions:
- If desired, paint the sides of the canvas with acrylic paint.
- Apply a thin coat of Mod Podge to the front of the canvas.
- Carefully place the photo on top of the Mod Podge, face up.
- Use a sponge to smooth out any bubbles and remove any excess Mod Podge.
- Allow the Mod Podge to dry completely.
- Apply a second coat of Mod Podge over the top of the photo.
- Allow the Mod Podge to dry completely again.
Your DIY canvas photo is now finished! You can hang it on the wall or give it as a gift.
Tips:
- Make sure the photo is printed on glossy paper. This will help it to adhere to the canvas better.
- Be careful not to over-apply the Mod Podge, as this can cause the photo to wrinkle.
- If you are making a large canvas photo, you may want to work in sections.
- To add a bit of extra protection to your canvas photo, you can apply a third coat of Mod Podge after it has dried completely.
