Once you have all of your materials, you can begin assembling the dust collector. First, cut a hole in the lid of the bucket that is large enough for the PVC pipe to fit through. Next, attach the PVC pipe to the lid of the bucket using duct tape and/or hot glue.

Next, you will need to create the vortex. To do this, cut a hole in the side of the bucket near the bottom. Then, attach a piece of PVC pipe to the hole using duct tape and/or hot glue. The PVC pipe should be cut at a 45-degree angle and should extend into the bucket by about 1/3 of the bucket’s height.

Finally, attach the shop vac hose to the top of the PVC pipe. Once everything is assembled, you can test the dust collector by turning on the shop vac. If the dust collector is working properly, you should see dust being sucked into the bucket.
