DIY Sully Costume

Materials:

• Blue fur fabric
• White fabric for the eyes and horns
• Black fabric for the nose and mouth
• Purple fabric for the spots
• Sewing machine or needle and thread
• Fabric scissors
• Stuffing
• Elastic band
• Hot glue gun (optional)

Instructions:

1. Cut out the pieces of your costume from the fabric. You will need two pieces for the body, two for the arms, two for the legs, two for the horns, and one for the nose. You will also need to cut out two circles for the eyes and two smaller circles for the pupils.
2. Sew the two pieces of the body together along the sides and shoulders. Leave the bottom open for now.
3. Sew the two pieces of each arm and leg together along the sides and top.
4. Turn the arms and legs inside out and stuff them with filling. Sew the bottom of the arms and legs closed.
5. Sew the horns to the top of the head.
6. Sew the nose to the center of the face.
7. Sew the eyes to the face, positioning the pupils in the center of each eye.
8. Sew the two pieces of the body together along the bottom.
9. Sew the arms and legs to the body.
10. Cut a length of elastic band and sew it to the inside of the costume at the waist. This will help the costume stay in place.
11. (Optional) Use a hot glue gun to attach purple fabric spots to the costume.

Tips:

• If you don’t have a sewing machine, you can sew the costume by hand. Just be sure to use strong thread and needles.
• If you want your costume to be more durable, you can use interfacing fabric between the layers of fabric.
• You can also use a fabric marker to draw on the Sully’s features, such as his freckles and eyebrows.
• To make your costume even more realistic, you can buy a Sully wig and a pair of Sully horns.
